Materials & Technology
Wave Card is made out of 316 stainless steel. This variant of steel is heavy per surface area, and at 0.8mm, the card weighs 80 grams. This is noticeably heavy compared to your standard bank card which weighs in at 5 grams on average.
Black and gold Wave Cards come with a durable electroplated coating which is used to protect the card. The 316 stainless steel is very resistant to corrosion and the metal itself will not degrade unless purposely recycled; this is why the raw finish cards do not have any coating whatsoever. Our electroplated coating has a hardness of TK, and should withstand a lifetime of handling.
Why did we only choose three colors?

Card processing
Each card is laser engraved. This means that the features such as your name cannot ever be removed unless the card is physically defaced through mechanical means.
Fun-fact: Fiber lasers can laser engrave a spectrum of colours, however, we like to stick to a lightly etched finish, or black for our engravements.
Technology
The card is fitted with a Radio Frequency Identification(RFID) chip which can be found on the back of the card. It uses Near Field Communication fitted to most phones to communicate and send data to
